JOB DESCRIPTION & ELIGIBILITY
The Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) invites applications for the Young Scientist Training (YST) Fellowship. This position is intended for early-career researchers in theoretical physics who have demonstrated research ability.
• Eligibility: Applicants from all fields of theoretical physics are welcome.
• Environment: The fellowship provides opportunities to interact and collaborate with APCTP in-house researchers, POSTECH faculty, visiting scholars, and participants in APCTP-supported scientific programs.
Requirements for Application
Applicants must hold an official doctoral degree (PhD, DSc, or equivalent) at least three months prior to the start date.
• The degree certificate must be issued and sealed by the awarding institution.
• Certificates of expected graduation, or supporting letters are not accepted.
REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
• Annual gross salary: Starting from KRW 36,000,000
• Research funding: KRW 5,000,000 per year for other research activities.
• Housing support: A shared house will be provided for up to one month upon initial arrival, to assist with accommodation while you search for permanent housing. (except utility bills)
• One-way airfare to APCTP will be provided
• Contract term: 1+1 years (renewable for a second year depending on the research performance and the availability of resources for the program.)
